Slow Down And Move Over To Help Save Lives

Slow down and Move over laws were created to protect everyone on the road, but many people do not know about them or simply ignore them. This puts everyone in danger. More than 200 roadside workers have died and over 150 police officers have lost their lives since 1997, because of people not following these laws.

The Slow down and Move over laws say that if there are roadside workers, emergency responders or even a vehicle in the side of the road with hazards on everyone driving around them have to slow down and move over to another lane, if possible. If it is not possible to move over to another lane than slowing down becomes even more important. It is suggested to slow down 10 to 20 MPH below the speed limit before passing.

All of us here at Jeff D'Ambrosio Auto Group thank you for driving safely and helping to spread awareness about Slow down and Move over laws.
