New Dodge Viper Set to Strike Audience at New York Auto Show

You might not know what it looks like, but chances are you've at least heard of the Dodge Viper. There's a reason for this... Even though the Viper doesn't have as extensive of a heritage as some cars on the market, it has forever left its mark on the auto industry as one of the first V10 powered cars in the world.

Given its fierce, good looks and terrifying power, the Dodge Viper is not only deemed a celebrity car among fans, for its massive engine. It has actually made numerous star appearances in movies, video games, TV shows, and music videos.

It might be hard to believe, but the Dodge Viper has also survived four generations and one very devastating economic downturn. The first-generation Dodge Viper ran from 1992 to 1995; the second 1996 to 2002; and the fourth, 2008-2010. And, while it took a one-year sabbatical, the Dodge Viper lives on! Next year, Chevy is expected to debut the first in the fifth-generation: the 2013 Dodge Viper.

That's right. As Dodge's parent company, Chevrolet, worked to fortify their core brand, cars such as the Viper had to temporarily take the back burner. But, given pictures of the Dodge Viper, it appears as though, it might have been taking a higher priority than either brand indicates. Or, maybe the automakers simply took a page from their cars, and is working fast and furious.

What does Jeff D'Ambrosio, located at  1221 E Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA know about the forthcoming 2013 Dodge Viper? Well, besides that it will be worth the wait, we honestly can't confirm much. Pictures show a sinuous body with curves to die for, nine-spoke wheels, a retractable soft-top, mean-looking headlights and what is perhaps the most viper-looking hood ever seen in the car's near decade-long history. We wish we could tell you more (i.e., specs surrounding the new sports car's powerpant) - and will, following the Viper's official debut at the New York Auto Show, in April 2012. So, be sure to stay tuned and check back for other late-breaking Dodge news, coming soon. Jeff D'Ambrosio Auto Group, located at 1221 E Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA is dedicated to keeping you informed.
