Chrysler is out to show you they care. In a recent attempt to reach out to its owners, the Chrysler franchise, in connection with Chrysler parts company Mopar, has created a new online platform that includes exclusive access to digital sites called "Owner's Centers." These sites will focus on all the details regarding owners' vehicles and will launch on November 16th at the L.A. Auto Show.
Each Chrysler brand, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram will have its own owner site platform. Chrysler's counterpart Fiat will also have a website, but it will not be launched until December. Loyalists who have more than one vehicle from the Chrysler family can rest easy; one registration and password allows access to all of the brand sites. Simply enter your VIN number and register and you're ready to not only download owner's manuals and order replacement parts, but also to buy branded clothing and gear or download apps for your smartphone.
Perhaps most convenient of all are the sites' ties to maintenance. Owners can keep track of repairs that have already been done and forthcoming upkeep. They are then sure to know when a service center appointment is necessary or overdue. It's also a potential selling feature if Chrysler allows for maintenance records to be shared by owners in selling or trading situations. All in all, the "Owner's Centers" should allow Chrysler more communication with drivers and customers easier access to brand parts and service.
